Biggs, who leads the conservative House Freedom Caucus, has come under scrutiny for his social media and comments that some say helped incite the Jan. 6 rampage in which supporters of former President Donald Trump attacked police and overran the U.S. Capitol as Congress was certifying the results of the 2020 presidential election. A watchdog group named Campaign for Accountability filed a request with the Office of Congressional Ethics to investigate Biggs and Rep. Paul Gosar, R-Ariz., who has faced similar allegations.
